Beauvale District comprises the area around the towns and villages of Awsworth, Brinsley, Eastwood, Greasley, Kimberley and Nuthall and was originally part of the West Nott’s District of Nottinghamshire. Due to its large size this District was split in 1975, Beauvale District being created on the 1st April 1975 and the opening credit in the bank account, dated 2nd April 1975 was the princely sum of £75.

Since that date we have never had much money in the bank as we prefer it to be spent and spent in the right areas, on the young members, so that they can get the most enjoyment from their Scouting as well as enhancing their development into respected members of society.
Currently we have around 350 young members, led by some fantastic adult Leaders, enjoying Scouting on a weekly basis following all the elements of the progressive programme.
We offer a full range of adventurous activities, walking, climbing, canoeing, kayaking, yes there is a difference, archery, air rifles shooting are examples along that which Scouts are best known for, camping. The camps spread far and wide from a Beaver sleepover in the TA Centre at Bulwell to the Explorer Scouts camping in Russia and Nepal.
In reality, small by comparison to other Districts in Nottinghamshire, our size enables to be like one big family, all working together for the benefit of each other and our wider respective communities.
We are always looking to grow our numbers, if this brief account has whetted your appetite to sample what is on offer either as a young person or adult (over 18) then please contact us.
